Baby Chance ·OKC Lifestyle Newborn Photography·

Hello Dears!

I recently posted sweet Anne's maternity session, and I mentioned what a good thing it was that we took her bump photos when we did because baby Chance arrived much earlier than expected.  Fortunately, Anne had a smooth delivery and everyone is healthy and happy!  We held off on Chance's newborn photos for a while because they were living in the premie-baby-bubble for a while to keep out all the germs.  I was chomping at the bit to get over there and capture all those sweet cuddles that were happening, and it was so worth the wait!

Baby Chance was quite the snuggle bug and wouldn't let his momma and daddy put him down for even just a second.  That's 100% okay with me, because one of my favorite aspects of lifestyle newborn photography is capturing all those natural moments that happen in the first few weeks of life.  Anne and Zack's beautiful historic home in the Crown Heights neighborhood was the best backdrop for photos, and I just love how their sun room reflects their personality so perfectly.

One of my favorite things about Chance's newborn session is how many sweet smiles he flashed at his momma and daddy.  While those sleepy, closed-eye photos are wonderful, there is nothing more precious than a new baby gazing so adoringly at his parents.  I.melt.every.time.

Thanks for stopping by!

Little Miss Austen ·Oklahoma Newborn Photographer·

Hello dears!

I may not have mentioned it on here, but I recently moved into a studio space in Norman!  I'm so so excited about it, and I couldn't wait for my first shoot in the new digs!  Baby Austen's momma is in a crunchy moms group that I'm a part of, and she volunteered her sweet babe as a model.  Austen wanted to stay awake for the party, but once she fell asleep, she was a dream to work with!  Can we also talk about how sweet her name is?  Hooray for literary mommas!

Hello Dears!

I met Mackenzie when we worked together on a styled shoot for Plenty Mercantile in Oklahoma City. She owns Willow Paper Goods Co. and creates beautiful stationery, and her fabulous style is reflected throughout their home. I was so honored when she asked me to photograph their baby girl Penelope a few days after they brought the baby home. Mackenzie and her husband John just celebrated their third wedding anniversary, and this is such an exciting time for them!

On the day of the session, I met them at their house near Lake Hefner on a beautiful February day. Thinking back, I couldn't pick one moment or another, the whole day was my favorite. Mackenzie and John radiated a peacefulness that could be felt through the whole house. That, plus Penelope slept for the entire session, and was such a dream to work with. I even managed to capture their dog Olive, their first baby, into some of the images. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect session!

I love the image of Mackenzie nursing her new baby with Dad passed out on the couch in the background.  The new parent exhaustion is REAL you guys, and I feel like that moment sums up those first few weeks perfectly.

Thank you, Mackenzie and John, I'm so grateful to have been able to capture these sweet moments for your wonderful family!
