Brenda + Marcus (and Franklin + Theodore!) ·Oklahoma City Family Portraits·

Hello dears!

One of my favorite things about my job is getting to meet so many new people.  And I particularly love when my clients turn into friends!  You see kids, when you get older, it gets harder to make "adult" friends.  (Remember the playground days?  Hey, you like to swing and ride bikes?  Me too!  Best friends forever?  Yup.)  You might even sometimes feel like a total creeper when trying to transition from casual chats to actually "asking out" your potential new friends.  So, after exchanging several emails back and forth with Brenda while planning her session, I was way too excited to finally meet her and her husband at their session.  They totally won me over with a killer combination of sarcasm and wit, and by the end of their session I was already scheming how I could ask them to be my new BFFs, without sounding like a total crazy person.  I think the verdict is still out on my craziness, but that's beside the point.

Brenda and Marcus are fellow dog-lovers, and for some of the last photos they changed into the super awesome shirts they bought from Sevenly.  If you like to shop for a cause, Sevenly is a great company worth checking out!  Also, how adorable are Franklin and Theodore (yes, Marcus is a history buff) in their dapper ties?  Love.it.

Molly + Will ·Oklahoma City Engagement Photographer·

Hello dears!

Meet Molly and Will.

Okay, I couldn't resist posing them for that photo when I thought about their initials!  What a hoot!  Moving on now....

In talking with Molly about what they wanted from their engagement session, she mentioned that they really like outdoor settings with a more polished landscaping.  Little details like that help me pick a location that will suit the couple's style, and I knew right away that the Northwood Gardens in Edmond would be a great spot for them.  Being dog lovers as well, they wanted to include their fur babies in some of the engagement photos....which I absolutely love!  The dogs had a great time running around the gardens when they weren't posing for close ups, and I bet they passed straight out when they got home!  After the gardens, we headed to Lake Hefner for the sunset.  This location was special to Molly and Will because that is where Will proposed.  It's always fun including special things like that in sessions, so that it has even more of a personal touch for the couple.

Did I mention that Will was a TOTAL trooper?  He rocked it out without complaint on his BIRTHDAY aaaand on the evening of the NBA finals.  So, Molly, I think you've got yourself a keeper.  : )
