Oh My Dear Photography Baby Announcement

Hello dears!

What exciting news we have to share with you today! Our little family is growing, with baby DeSpain's debut set for March 2014! Dustyn and I are over the moon excited to have a new little partner to share the world with. I'm sure some of you are wondering though, "What does this mean for Oh My Dear?"

I am most certainly going to continue following my dream of capturing all of life's special moments, both for my own family and for yours. I will, however, be taking a brief hiatus from work in order to prepare for our babe's arrival into the world, and to allow myself time to get the hang of this whole new "Momma" role once Baby D arrives.

Starting November 15th I will be taking on very limited sessions to enjoy the holiday season, get the nursery (and everything else!) in order, and to give my (already) swollen feet a little R&R. So if you're wanting to squeeze in your family photos before the end of the year, now is the time to contact me! January 2014 will be the last month I'm taking any sessions until the little bean gets here (unless I'm miraculously feeling super awesome at 30+ weeks). I'll also be taking time off from shooting after bean gets here, but I PROMISE I'm not bailing on you guys! I just wanted to give you a heads up, because I kinda like ya.

Ch-Ch-Changes

With these life changes will come a few changes on the Oh My Dear front, as well. In order to spend time being the most awesome mom I can be, I'll be taking on fewer weddings from now on. It's not that I don't love all of my sweet couples, I just want to be able to spend time with my baby AND baby daddy, all at the same time. And until we win the lottery and Dustyn doesn't have to work anymore, the weekends are our main time to hang. So, weddings, I love ya but you're going to have to take a backseat for a while.

I'll also be introducing new product pricing and packages starting October 1st. If you've already booked a session, the price changes won't affect you. The new prices will only apply to sessions booked after October 1st. Session fees will stay the same, and I'll also be adding special incentive to repeat clients!

So there you have it. For someone who doesn't handle change all that well, I have to admit I'm sweating a little just writing this blog post. Or maybe that's just the pregnancy working it's sweet sweet magic on my body... Either way, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all you wonderful dears who have supported Oh My Dear Photography over the last few years, and who will continue to stand by our side through these changes! You make our world go 'round, for reals. If you have any questions about anything I've mentioned here, or if you just want to send some awesome parenting advice our way, just give me a holler!

I'm so excited to share Chelle's bridal session with you today! Bridals are one of my favorite types of sessions, but it's always so hard not getting to share the photos right away! Chelle's wedding was classic and timeless, with more than a touch of elegance, and I wanted to make sure her bridals reflected that. We talked about a few different options before deciding on taking the photos at a vineyard, and I am so thrilled with how they turned out! By far one of my favorite sessions to date!
