Hello dears!

I started working on baby Chance's newborn session blog post, and I realized I hadn't yet shared Anne's beautiful maternity photos!  She and her husband Zach came to Norman on a seriously beautiful Saturday in April, before the skies dumped buckets of rain everywhere.  It's a VERY good thing we didn't have any weather delays, because just a few days after the session, Anne's water broke and little Chance surprised everyone by making his entrance into the world a few weeks ahead of schedule!  Momma and baby are healthy and happy, and loving every bit of their time together.

But we'll get to all the baby sweetness a bit later....for now, here's Anne when she was a glowing momma-to-be!

Hello Dears! 

I met Mackenzie when we worked together on a styled shoot for Plenty Mercantile in Oklahoma City. She owns Willow Paper Goods Co. and creates beautiful stationery, and her fabulous style is reflected throughout their home. I was so honored when she asked me to photograph their baby girl Penelope a few days after they brought the baby home. Mackenzie and her husband John just celebrated their third wedding anniversary, and this is such an exciting time for them! 

On the day of the session, I met them at their house near Lake Hefner on a beautiful February day. Thinking back, I couldn't pick one moment or another, the whole day was my favorite. Mackenzie and John radiated a peacefulness that could be felt through the whole house. That, plus Penelope slept for the entire session, and was such a dream to work with. I even managed to capture their dog Olive, their first baby, into some of the images. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect session!

I love the image of Mackenzie nursing her new baby with Dad passed out on the couch in the background.  The new parent exhaustion is REAL you guys, and I feel like that moment sums up those first few weeks perfectly.

Baby Cooper is 9 Months Old! What a Hoot!

Hello dears!

I absolutely love my baby plan families, because nothing is sweeter than watching little ones learn their way in the world.  Mister Cooper is 9 months, and since our last visit he has learned to sit up on his own, and how to hold onto things to stand!  He thinks bubbles and his dog Caesar are pretty hilarious, and I can't say I disagree.  We also took a little time for him to read his favorite book, "Hoot!"

Couldn't you just gobble up those tiny baby toes???  Happy 9 months, baby Cooper!
